News: Driver fatally strikes pedestrian near AUS Airport 

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian succumbed to fatal wounds on East Ben White Boulevard near the AUS Airport, where they were struck by a vehicle Monday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services announced this collision (which also took place along South Highway 183) before 6:45 a.m. ATCEMS and the Austin Fire Department declared the walker dead at the scene.

At the time of the reporting, officials told drivers to anticipate delays as crews worked to clear the scene and as law enforcement pursued their investigation. 

Officials have not commented on the details behind this deadly collision, released the victim’s identity, or said if the driver would face criminal charges.
