AUSTIN, TX – Austin police responded to a fatal crash on I-35 near Slaughter Lane last night, shutting down all southbound lanes in the area.
KXAN reports that APD gave notice of the crash via an alert on the department’s X feed at 9:45 p.m. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
No other details are available at this time, and it is unclear what precipitated the deadly collision. We will provide updates as they become available.
