News: First responders summoned to I-35 semi wreck in North Austin 

NORTH AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police, Austin fire crews, and Austin Travis County Emergency Services were all summoned to a two-semi crash on I-35 North Wednesday.

This collision was reported after 11 p.m. in the 10800 block. Officials shut down the northbound directions to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. 

First responders said they evaluated one person for injuries but did not confirm if they were actually hurt or needed to be taken to a hospital. 

As indicated in the photos, one white-colored 18-wheeler suffered moderate front-end damage, while the other jackknifed. 

It is not immediately clear if speed, distracted driving, tiredness, intoxication, or other factors played a role in this collision.
