News: Georgetown Police investigate IH-35 collision  

GEORGETOWN, TX – Georgetown Police are investigating the circumstances behind a major crash on southbound IH-35, south of Lakeway Drive, reported Wednesday. 

All IH-35 Southbound lanes are closed due to a major crash just south of Lakeway. Please find alternate routes this morning and avoid the area. We will update when lanes are back open. pic.twitter.com/nbuROwLsX1

Police first announced this crash at 6:48 a.m. and said they had to shut down all the lanes for the standard scene clearance and investigation period. 

All closures were lifted after 8 a.m. Officers have not provided a formal statement regarding the exact cause of this collision, listed the number and type of occupants and vehicles involved, reported any injuries or hospitalizations, and pending charges or citations.
