News: Head-on collision in central Austin sends 2 to hospital 

CENTRAL AUSTIN, TX – Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services rushed two people to a hospital after they were extricated from their vehicles following a head-on wreck Friday.

This collision occurred before 2:30 p.m. in the 4200th block of North Interstate Highway 35. The Austin Fire Department was the one to successfully extricate the two individuals, confirming they were pinned inside. 

After the extrication took place, first responders declared trauma alerts for both patients before sending them to Dell Seton Medical Center. One adult sustained potentially serious wounds, while the other suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. 

No other information, including the current conditions of the occupants, the exact cause of this crash, and whether anyone will face citations or charges, has been made available.
