News: Head-on crash in South Lamar claims one life, injures 2 

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – Two occupants sustained potentially serious injuries, and one person lost their life in a head-on crash in the South Lamar district Monday. 

The Austin Fire Department and Austin Travis County Emergency Services responded to the 1100 block of West Ben White Boulevard after 12:15 a.m. The person who passed away was declared dead at the scene, and the two injured occupants were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment.

Officials have not specified the circumstances leading up to this collision, nor have they released the name of the deceased victim.
