News: Head-on crash on 183 U.S. Hwy hospitalizes 2 

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were transported to St. David’s South Medical Center for treatment following a head-on crash on the 1900 block of 183 U.S. Highway Wednesday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Services responded to the scene after 9 p.m. and said the collision occurred on the southbound lanes adjacent to Ben White Boulevard.

Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered that one person was pinned in their vehicle and had to conduct extrication methods. They safely and successfully freed the individual,, and the person is recovering from injuries deemed potentially serious. 

The other victim involved suffered non-life-threatening wounds. 

Officials have not indicated the exact cause of this collision, specified the kind of vehicles involved, or confirmed pending charges.
