News: Head-on wreck in SE Austin sends 4 adults, kid to hospitals

SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – Four adults and one child were sent to nearby hospitals after a head-on wreck between four vehicles along the AUS Airport Saturday.

This crash happened before 9:15 p.m. at the 8700th to 9116th block of Burleson Road, according to an X post from Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The Austin Fire Department, who assisted with this collision, said paramedics treated two occupants on site, while a child and an adult were sent to Dell Children’s Medical Center and three other adults to St. David’s South Medical Center.

The juvenile is recovering from serious wounds, while the adult at Dell Children’s is recovering from minor injuries.

At St. David’s South, one adult is recovering from serious lacerations, and two from wounds deemed “potentially serious.”

Authorities have not disclosed the exact cause of this crash or stated if anyone can anticipate criminal charges filed against them or citations.
