News: Hit-and-run in North Austin sends motorcyclist to hospital 

NORTH AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital for non-life-threatening wounds after getting struck by a male driver who had fled the scene Saturday. 

The Austin Police Department told CBS Austin that this collision happened before 11:30 p.m. in the 1200th block of West Parmer Lane, which is near the Walnut Creek Metro Park. 

Police said that the hit-and-run driver had allegedly stolen beer from a 7-Eleven convenience store and drove away prior to striking the motorcyclist. 

Officers who obtained video footage from the store indicated that the suspect was a black man in his 20s to 30s and of average height. The footage showed him wearing striped shorts, white tennis shoes, a black T-shirt, and a New York Yankee cap. He was said to have operated a black or dark-colored four-door sedan.
