News: Hundreds without power after trash truck crashes into pole in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, TX – Hundreds of people were left without power after a trash truck crashed into a pole near an Amazon distribution center on Thursday, Round Rock Police said.

Officers are responding to a crash at County Road 172 and Hesters Crossing Rd near the Amazon distribution center, where a dump truck struck a power pole.

Police reported the incident after 11 a.m, saying it happened in the area of County Road 172 and Hesters Crossing Road.

Officials cleared the scene of the crash by 11:30 a.m. By that time, Oncor crews were working to restore power. KVUE said by 12:36 p.m., over 600 people were left without power, and by 2 p.m., all power was restored.

No injuries were reported for anyone, including the driver.

Police are working to determine what caused the driver of the truck to lose control of their vehicle.
