News: Jeep driver hospitalized following collision with train in Leander

LEANDER, TX – A Jeep driver was hospitalized following a collision involving a CapMetro train on Saturday, according to Fox7Austin.

Before 1 a.m., the Jeep driver collided with the train at the intersection of Hero Way and U.S. 183. Officials determined that the Jeep driver failed to obey traffic signals, entered the train’s path, and collided with it.

Officials said the Jeep driver was injured, but did not specify the extent of those injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
