News: Lane attempt leads to fatal chain-reaction crash in Round Rock 

ROUND ROCK, TX – One driver made a last-minute lane change on I-35, which led to a chain-reaction collision that claimed a semi-truck driver’s life Monday.

Round Rock police said the crash happened before 11:45 a.m. on the northbound lanes near RM 620. The driver, who tried to merge into another lane, struck another vehicle. Several drivers on the road tried to avoid the initial collision. One of the drivers, a trash truck driver, would go onto drift off the northbound lanes and into the southbound lanes and strike several other vehicles.

After the wreck, one woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene. She has since been identified as Alexa White, 35, from Fort Cavazos.

Three others were injured in the collision and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
