News: Life claimed, another injured in SE Austin collision 

SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – One person lost their life, and another person suffered minor injuries as a result of a crash south of McKinney Falls State Park Tuesday.

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, Travis County Fire Rescue, and STAR Flight crews arrived at the 7000th block of Dee Gabriel Collins Road after 6 p.m.

Medics performed CPR on an unconscious person. However, despite their best efforts, that person sustained fatal injuries. STAR Flight’s services were dismissed after the individual was declared dead.

Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the crash. The victim’s identity has not been publicly announced.
