DOWNTOWN AUSTIN, TX – A male pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened in downtown Austin before 3 a.m. Saturday, KVUE reports.
A driver ran over a man as he was crossing the intersection of North Interstate 35 Service Road and East 6th Street. The driver did not render aid and immediately fled the scene.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and conducted CPR on the male pedestrian. Despite their best efforts, he died from his injuries at the scene. He has since been identified as 39-year-old Aaron William Johnson.
Police are working to determine what the suspect and their vehicle look like. Anyone with more information is asked to contact the phone number listed in the initial source.
