AUSTIN, TX – A 29-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident Tuesday morning, February 18, in south Austin, according to the City of Austin.
The fatal incident took place in the 1900 block of East Ben White Boulevard service road, in the city’s McKinney area. It was first reported at about 8;52 a.m.
A release from the Austin Police Department indicates that the victim was rushed to by Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) personnel to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
No information about the driver of the involved vehicle has been made public, but they stayed at the crash site and cooperated with responding authorities.
At this time, the circumstances behind the event have not been specified. It was not immediately apparent whether any charges or citations are expected.
