News: Motorcyclist killed in crash along Gilbert Elementary School 

AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist lost their life after a collision that happened outside Gilbert Elementary School Saturday.

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to the intersection of Gilbert Road and Barteny Cove before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, medics conducted CPR on the person. Despite their best efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Officials shut down the intersection for several hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name and are working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
