News: Motorcyclist loses life in hit-and-run crash in Leander 

LEANDER, TX – A motorcyclist lost his life after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver operating a blue Kia passenger car north of Huddleston Road Saturday.

Leander Police arrived at the crash site — the 11300 block of North U.S. 183 — after 2:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they confirmed that the motorcyclist — an unidentified white man (whose name has not yet been released) — succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.

In speaking with eyewitnesses, police confirmed the suspect did not render aid and continued driving on the northbound lanes. They were eventually able to find the suspect, who was identified as 29-year-old Robert Corral, in Liberty Hill. 

Police arrested Coral for leaving the scene of a collision that resulted in death (which is deemed a felony). He was booked into the Williamson County Jail. 

Authorities have launched an investigation and are examining the circumstances that led to this deadly collision and are withholding the motorcyclist’s name pending notification of next of kin.
