News: Motorcyclist seriously hurt in NW Austin crash

NORTHWEST AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries when they crashed their bike in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard near the MoPac Expressway before midnight. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services first announced this collision at 11:56 p.m. Monday. After arriving, they initially said the motorcyclist possibly succumbed to fatal wounds but confirmed seven minutes later that they actually sustained injuries deemed potentially life-threatening.

Officials did not specify what kind of wounds the motorcyclist suffered but did indicate that they were sent to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. 

First responders have not shared the events leading up to this collision nor reported any other vehicles involved.
