AUSTIN, TX – Fire crews were called to a fire at a 33-story high-rise apartment building in downtown Austin Friday.
The incident occurred on the 100 block of East 7th St., CBS Austin reported. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before 3 a.m.
Officials revealed that the cause of the fire was due to items that were improperly placed on a stove. As a result, flames spread and led to smoke damage. In addition, three people suffered minor smoke damage.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
