AUSTIN, TX – No one sustained any injuries when a driver rammed into the Phở Vân Vietnamese restaurant Thursday, Austin Police told CBS Austin.
Police, along with Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, responded to the incident (located at 8557 Research Blvd Suite 130) before 1:30 p.m.
The result of Thursday’s wreck detached and left the remains of glass doors scattered all around the area and punched a hole in a wall. Other damage includes at least one broken table and chair, a significant piece of a wall torn out, and damage to the interior ceiling.
The establishment’s owners had to temporarily close the place for repairs. As of this time, they have not confirmed a reopening date.
First responders are still investigating the circumstances behind the crash and have not provided much information, but the incident has been deemed unintentional.
