News: Officials close MoPac Expy. in North Austin due to traffic crash 

NORTH AUSTIN, TX – Law enforcement shut down northbound MoPac Expressway along Stecker Avenue due to a Monday afternoon traffic crash.

According to Texas Department of Transportation traffic camera footage, shared by KVUE, it appears the crash was between a gray pickup truck and a white SUV.

The SUV was seen on the shoulder, while the pickup truck was directly facing a concrete median wall and blocking one lane.

At least four law enforcement vehicles responded to the scene and blocked a majority of the interstate lanes. During that time, they redirected traffic toward the frontage road and urged drivers to avoid the area as crews worked to remove the impacted vehicles and clean up any debris.

First responders have not shared the events leading to the traffic crash or reported any injuries or citations.
