News: Officials close portion of Hwy. 71 due to three-vehicle collision 

AUSTIN, TX – Officials shut down a portion of eastbound State Highway 71 near the Spirit of Texas Drive due to a Friday afternoon collision involving three vehicles.  

The crash and closures occurred before 12:15 p.m., KVUE said officials blocked two lanes on eastbound Highway 71. 

First responders have not specified the exact cause of the collision or said whether anyone was injured.
