EAST AUSTIN, TX – One person’s life was claimed in a fiery vehicle crash that happened on State Highway 130 in East Austin on Thursday.
CBS Austin said the collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the 10500th block of southbound SH 130. The force of the crash caused one vehicle to catch on fire, and one person died from their injuries.
Authorities shut down the eastbound U.S. 290 off-ramp connecting to South State Highway 130.
Officials closed all lanes for several hours before reopening around 10:30 a.m.
Police have not released the victim’s name, nor have they specified the events leading to the crash.
