News: One life claimed in pin-in collision in South Austin 

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – One person’s life was claimed in a pin-in collision that occurred on Monday, Austin Travis County Medical Services reports.

ATCEMS reported the crash at 10:26 a.m., saying it happened at East Ben White Boulevard Service Road and Payload Pass and involved a pedestrian and a vehicle. The force of the crash caused one person to be pinned underneath, requiring extrication from fire crews.

Medical personnel conducted CPR on the individual once they were freed from underneath the vehicle. Despite their best efforts, officials said the person died from their injuries at the scene.

Law enforcement has not specified how the collision unfolded or whether anyone would face charges.
