News: Pedestrian critically hurt in crash near St. Edward’s University 

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was sent to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center in critical condition following a crash along St. Edward’s University Thursday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services and the Austin Fire Department were summoned to the South Congress Avenue and Lightsey Road intersection before 10:15 p.m.

Medics conducted CPR on the pedestrian prior to their hospital transportation. 

Authorities did not say whether the driver who struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and would face citations or criminal charges.
