News: Pedestrian fatally hit by train near Crockett High School

AUSTIN, TX – One person died late Tuesday night after being struck by a train in southwest Austin’s Garrison Park neighborhood, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision took place off the 5900 block of Rubicon Run, near Crockett High School. It was first reported on ATCEMS’ X account shortly after 11:00 p.m., when EMS and Austin Fire Department crews had already responded to the scene.

Officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash, but an adult patient was confirmed deceased at the scene.

No other major injuries were reported.
