News: Pedestrian fatally struck by car in South Austin

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian’s life was claimed in a crash involving a car on the 1000 block of eastbound W Ben White Blvd. in South Austin before 1 a.m. Friday, ATCEMS revealed. 

The incident took place along U.S. 290 Highway near St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. Upon arrival, first responders performed CPR on the pedestrian. However, despite their best efforts, the victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is uncertain what exactly led to the collision and who had the right of way. In addition, the victim’s name was not released.
