News: Pedestrian fatally struck by car near downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – One life was claimed in a crash between a pedestrian and a car near the Duncan Neighborhood Park Tuesday. 

ATCEMS was first made aware of the incident after 8:15 a.m., and arrived at the site of the collision – the 1100 block of North Lamar Boulevard – and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The pedestrian’s identity, name, and gender have not been released. There has been no official word on what led to the collision. These updates will be posted to the news blog as it becomes available.
