AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was killed and two others were injured in crashes that occurred on the 5700th block of North Interstate Highway 35 on Saturday.
The crash between the vehicle and pedestrian happened after 11:30 p.m. on the southbound lanes, according to Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services. Austin fire crews were also summoned to the scene.
Upon arrival, medics declared the pedestrian dead at the scene and took two other people, who were involved in another crash and not in the auto-pedestrian collision, to Dell Seton Medical Center.
The surviving occupants are recovering from minor injuries.
The exact cause of the collision is under investigation.
