News: Person extricated, hospitalized after wreck near Lady Bird Lake 

AUSTIN, TX – A person pinned underneath a vehicle was extricated prior to being taken to Dell Seton Medical Center following a Friday morning crash near Lady Bird Lake. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services said the collision happened before 11:30 a.m. in the area of Interstate 35 Frontage Road and East Riverside Road. Austin fire crews completed the extrication before ATCEMS medics transported the patient to Dell Seton.

The individual is said to be in the process of recovering from injuries deemed potentially serious. One other person sustained minor injuries and did not want to be taken to a hospital. 

The exact cause of the crash has not been reported.
