AUSTIN, TX – A 37-year-old man from Pflugerville was arrested in connection with a collision involving a Round Rock ISD school bus around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
KVUE said the incident unfolded when a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper tried to pull over the Pflugerville man for speeding on State Highway 45 near Pecan Park Boulevard and Lakeline Drive.
The man tried to evade and sideswiped a passenger car before crashing into the back of the Round Rock ISD school bus.
Law enforcement took the man into custody, who had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest from Williamson County.
He faces charges for evading while operating a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
No one appeared to be injured, and no students were on board the school bus at the time of the collision.
