News: Pilot’s life claimed in Spicewood fiery plane crash 

SPICEWOOD, TX – A pilot succumbed to fatal wounds after their Lancair Legacy FG crashed and caught on fire at the Spicewood Airport Monday, CBS Austin reported. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services and fire crews were summoned to the scene, and firefighters were able to extinguish the flames successfully. Burnet County Emergency Management confirmed the pilot was the sole occupant. 

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board is taking on this investigation and have not formally announced the events leading up to this fatal wreck, said to and where the pilot was going, or publicly released the pilot’s name.
