SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – One person was airlifted, and another occupant was transported via an ambulance to St. David’s South Medical Center following a pin-in crash Thursday.
Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the Austin Fire Department, and STAR Flight Travis County said this collision happened at northbound U.S. 183 Highway and Burleson Road, indicating they arrived at the scene after 4:30 p.m.

Fire crews extricated one pinned person and said STAR Flight, then took them to Dell Seton for treatment of serious wounds, while the other person (not pinned) was transported by ground to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
First responders have not specified the events that led to this wreck nor said if anyone would be cited or charged for their involvement in this collision.
