News: Plane crashes into Lakeway backyard, sending 1 to hospital 

LAKEWAY, TX – ATCEMS took one person to St. David’s South Medical Center after a Cirrus SR22 plane they traveled in crashed into a backyard near Lake Travis airport Wednesday.

This collision happened around 6:30 p.m. at the 100th block of Triton Court, and a tree was also damaged in the process, according to KVUE. 

Lake Travis Fire Rescue and police were also summoned to the scene, stating that the hospitalized individual was set to receive treatment for serious wounds, while the second occupant refused to be taken to a hospital. As it stands, authorities did not provide an update on their physical condition. 

Since this is a plane collision, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will be taking the lead on this investigation, and have not released additional information at this time.
