News: Round Rock PD investigates semi-truck crash in Chisholm  

ROUND ROCK, TX – Round Rock police and fire crews are investigating the details behind a semi-truck crash that happened in the Chisholm area last Thursday, July 31. 

Officers and fire personnel are responding to a collision involving an 18-wheeler that struck power lines at the intersection of CR 172 and Chisholm Valley Dr.

The truck had crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of CR 172 and Chisholm Valley Drive, resulting in downed power lines. The crash happened at 2 p.m. Officials shut down Chisholm Valley Drive between Christopher Ave and CR 172. 

Authorities kept one lane open on northbound CR 172 to accommodate the flow of traffic. All of CR 172 reopened at 2:45 p.m. However, Chisholm Valley Drive between Christopher Ave and CR 172 continued to remain closed so crews could continue cleaning up the debris from the crash. 

The exact cause of the collision, including the extent of injuries remains unclear.
