EAST AUSTIN, TX – Austin police are looking for a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run crash that occurred in East Austin on Friday, Oct. 24.
Fox7Austin said the collision happened before 5:30 a.m. on the 6500th block of Eastgate Road. Preliminary details show that the suspect, who was driving a dark colored 4-door pickup truck, had turned onto Eastgate Road from U.S.Highway 183 and struck a man.
The man was in the process of loading a work trailer.
Once the man was hit, he became pinned underneath the truck and was dragged several feet.
The driver continued to drive on Eastgate Road before turning onto Smith Road.
The suspect did not render aid to the victim, who was left with serious injuries.
Police have not released a description of the suspect. They ask anyone with more information to please contact the phone number listed in the source.
