AUSTIN, TX – Austin police are currently searching for a hit-and-run suspect responsible for crashing into Gusto Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar Sunday.
According to KVUE, the hit-and-run driver was said to have been speeding and driving dangerously when they lost control of their vehicle and rammed into the restaurant, located at 4800 Burnet Road. The single-vehicle crash took place before 3:30 a.m.
Police confirmed that the vehicle was left at the scene. No individuals were inside the restaurant at the time of the collision.
The Italian restaurant has temporarily shut its doors for the necessary building repairs.
