News: Suspect sought in injury hit-and-run in East Austin 

EAST AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police are currently on the hunt for a suspect in connection with an injury hit-and-run crash that took place in East Austin earlier this month. 

Police said the collision happened after 11:30 p.m. on April 4 at the intersection of Robert T Martinez Junior Street & East Cesar Chavez Street. The pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by the hit-and-run vehicle. 

Police describe the suspect as possibly a Hispanic woman in her 20s with a lean build, and she was said to have driven a small sedan that is either gray or white. 

Anyone who can provide more information on the suspect or the hit-and-run crash is asked to call 512-472-8477 or submit an anonymous tip at austincrimestoppers.org. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest could be entitled to a $1,000 reward.
