News: Train fatally hits pedestrian near Strickland Christian School

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian succumbed to fatal wounds after they were struck by a train in the 1700th block of Matthews Lane near Strickland Christian School Friday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services and the Austin Fire Department arrived at the area before 4:30 p.m. Upon arriving, medics conducted CPR on the pedestrian. However, despite their best efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to fatal wounds.

Emergency crews have not specified the events leading up to this wreck nor released the victim’s name.
