HUTTO, TX – A truck driver was taken to a hospital after a collision involving a Union Pacific train on Friday, according to KVUE.
A truck and a train collided around 8:15 a.m. on eastbound U.S. 79 along the State Highway 130 exit ramp.
EMS crews said the truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital out of precaution.
The train blocked the railroad crossings at Star Ranch Boulevard North and Park Central Drive. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Locomotive crews from Taylor and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
