AUSTIN, TX – Two teenagers were killed, and three other people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on U.S. 79 on Christmas Eve, KXAN reports.
According to authorities, the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 79 when a westbound Dodge pickup pulling what reports describe as a “homemade utility trailer” crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided with a Ford Escape. That vehicle then crashed into another car.
The Ford was driven by an 18-year-old male with a 17-year-old female passenger. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Three people in the vehicle the Ford collided with were sent to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
