AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police and Texas Department of Transportation Austin crews shut down the northbound I-35 and U.S. 290 Highway interchange due to a crash Thursday.

Authorities announced these closures at approximately 7:12 a.m. and indicated motorists in the area could use the frontage roads as alternative routes.
The exact cause of this collision, including the number of people and vehicles, as well as sustained injuries, remains undisclosed. In addition, officials did not confirm when the crash should clear and when all lanes will reopen.
