AUSTIN, TX – One person lost their life in a collision that took place along AUS Airport Tuesday, according to new details from CBS Austin.
The crash took place around 1:45 p.m. along Texas 71 and Presidential Boulevard. Two occupants were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where one was listed in serious condition, and another in critical condition. Sometime later, one of the patients succumbed to their injuries.
Officials said that shortly after the incident, the Austin Fire Department’s Engine 42 was involved in a separate collision with another vehicle. Four of the firefighters on board were hospitalized for minor injuries.
