SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – Two big rigs, instead of one as initially reported, were involved in an Interstate 35 South collision that happened in South Austin on Friday, Fox7 Austin reports.
The collision took place around 4:30 a.m. on the 9900th block. By 9:30 a.m., all northbound lanes were said to have been shut down by 9:30 a.m. During the closures, drivers were requested to take the service road leading to Exit 226 at Onion Creek Parkway or other alternative routes before getting back onto the freeway.
At least one person sustained serious injuries.
