News UPDATE: 2 critically hurt in North Austin pin-in crash

NORTH AUSTIN, TX –  ATCEMS confirmed that two of the occupants who were pinned inside their white pickup truck have sustained life-threatening injuries, KVUE reported. 

To recap, the two people became pinned after a driver had crashed their vehicle (reported before 1:15 p.m. Thursday) into a building located on the 8998 block of Research Boulevard. One person was said to have been unconscious, and both victims needed to be extricated.

First responders took the passengers to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. It is still not immediately clear as to why the driver crashed into the building. This detail will be confirmed when our newsroom comes to learn more.
