TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety has released more details regarding the pin-in collision that claimed four lives near Elroy Sunday.
To recap, this crash happened before 4:15 p.m. on the 10500 block of State Highway 130 S Frontage Road, near Maha Loop Road. Austin Travis County Emergency Services initially said this was a multi-vehicle collision. However, CBS Austin confirmed there were only two vehicles involved.

Preliminary details indicate the driver of a light-colored sedan had crashed into a dump truck. As a result, four people sustained fatal wounds at the scene despite life-saving measures conducted by first responders.
A fifth sedan passenger was then flown by helicopter to a Travis County hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
An investigation was launched. No other details, including the names of the deceased individuals, were made readily available at this time.
