AUSTIN, TX – A two-vehicle collision on the 10100 block of FM 969 claimed a man’s life and sent another person to the hospital Sunday.
The crash happened when a driver, later identified as 26-year-old Jose Jacobo Melgar-Menjivar, was in an altered mental state and crashed into another car, FOX 7 Austin revealed.
The Travis County deputies detained him, and ATCEMS transported him to a hospital, where he later died.
The other person sustained critical-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation regarding this fatal collision.
