SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – According to Fox7Austin, police have identified the name of the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in South Austin on Tuesday.
The fatal crash occurred before 4:30 a.m. between the 10400th and 10500th blocks on southbound I-35. The pedestrian, later identified as 45-year-old David Rodriguez, died from his injuries at the scene.
Austin police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene.
Police started an investigation and have not announced any charges at this time.
