NORTHWEST AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have released the identity of the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash involving an SUV in the Renaissance Park neighborhood Saturday.
Police said that it was 64-year-old Denis Joe Watkins who suffered fatal injuries after colliding with an SUV driver on Ranch Road 2222 near the Paradox Cove junction around noon, CBS Austin revealed. Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released more details about what exactly caused the crash. Still, they did indicate that the SUV driver cooperated with investigators and said that impairment was not a contributing factor in this fatal wreck.
