AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after getting struck by a vehicle walking across the North MoPac Service Road bridge Friday.
Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services responded to the 12400th block of the southbound lanes around 7 a.m. Medics declared the victim dead at the scene.

At least one lane was closed for the scene clearance and investigation period. During the closures, drivers were asked to anticipate delays as crews worked to clean the area.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. No other details, which include the pedestrian’s identity, have been released.
